Requirements
* Personal Relationship with Jesus Christ
* Desire to serve the Lord in a cross cultural setting
* Agreement with the goals and beliefs of the JLBM ministry
* Minimum 21 years old/College graduate
(In some cases exceptions for age or education are made. Contact us and tell us about your situation)
* Flexible, adaptable, able to work in a team, able to work alone, self-sufficient, self starter, accepting of authority
* Single or married without children
* Able to live on a limited income
* No experience or training in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) is required to apply, training will be provided

Our program is high on personal commitment but (in comparison to other programs) easy on the bank account. There are some upfront costs but once here your salary is covered through the tuition paid by your students.

You Pay
* Preparation Costs (passport, visa, photos for passort and visa, postage, etc.)
* Transportation to Japan
* Living expenses for your first six weeks
Note: Most candidates have been able to raise support from their home church, relatives and friends to cover these "one time" expenses.

The Program Pays
* A modest monthly salary (enough to live on if you are careful...)
* Rent for your apartment
* Work related travel reimbursement
* Your return travel to USA/Canada (If you complete 12 1/2 months with the program)
If you stay a second year you'll receive a raise in salary and a bonus at the end of your term.
